When searching for a cigar, it’s important to find the best cigar for the price. What’s the point in finding the cheapest cigar it it isn’t enjoyable? And what’s the purpose of finding the best cigar if it’s too expensive to smoke?
That’s why cigar smokers search for the best valued cigar.
We analyzed over 300 cigars to find the best cigar for the money.
In our study, we gave negative scores to any cigars with a rating under 85. We figured 85 is a good baseline to start from. The value of a cigar is directly tied to how enjoyable it is, so we only wanted to include cigars that scored higher than 85.
We created a Value Score to evaluate the rating of a cigar with it’s price, so you can find the best cigar for the money.
The highest value score is our research was awarded to Alec Bradley American Sun Grown Blend Toto with a 249.11. It is by far the best cigar for the price, since second place had less than half that value score, with a score of 123.08.
You’ll notice that mellow cigars received the lowest value score overall, but if you prefer mellow cigars you can still enjoy them. We have a list of the top 5 best mellow cigars for the money, so you can still find the best deal.
