Punch Cigars

Punch Cigars go a long way. Its history dates back to the mid-1800s in Havana, Cuba. The non-Cuban version of Punch cigars was the first to be manufactured in Honduras and it still is one of the best-selling premium cigars in the US. This is manufactured by the General Cigar Co. You can find several options in the non-Cuban line of Punch cigars, from the medium to full-bodied cigars. They all used the highest quality Cuban-seed tobaccos that are grown in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras.

The Punch brand is famous for the Punch Champion and Classico cigars that bagged numerous 90 plus ratings and reviews. They are also known by their many minions as the finest Honduran cigars ever. The Punch label has grown substantially in recent years, expanding to nine best-rated cigar lines from its original Honduran classic. One of these is the Punch Gran Puro Nicaragua, the first to be handcrafted in Nicaragua.

Punch Knuckle Buster Natural Toro

Review of Punch Knuckle Buster

After a tiring day, I treated myself to the Punch Knuckle Buster Natural Toro, a visually appealing cigar from the renowned Punch brand. The cigar boasts a deep brown, buttery sheen wrapper and is presented in a striking blue box with distinct graphics. With an affordable price tag of $5.49, it caters to casual and regular smokers. Before lighting up, the cold draw offered hints of petrichor, honey, and the signature cigar scent, accompanied by earthy, spicy, and woody notes from its Nicaragua Habano wrapper. The flavor profile ranged from cedar and graham cracker with bitterness in the first third, transitioning to a milder blend in the subsequent sections. Although the burn was occasionally uneven, possibly due to its oily wrapper, the cigar’s consistency was commendable. Suitable for beginners and seasoned smokers, the Punch Knuckle Buster Natural Toro offers a modest yet satisfying smoking experience, earning a rating of 83.

Punch Bareknuckle Pita

Punch, a pioneering Habano brand established in 1840 by Don Manuel Lopez of Juan Valle & Company, was inspired by the renowned “Punch & Judy” comic book. The Bareknuckle variant significantly enhanced the reputation of medium-bodied Punch cigars, distinguishing itself with full-bodied vigor. The Punch Bareknuckle Pita cigar, originating from Honduras, is distinguished by its Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, presenting an earthy and leathery palate accentuated by hints of spice, pepper, and cream. This cigar, with a captivating Maduro wrapper and detailed aesthetics featuring vibrant blue and gold bands, promises a consistent flavor experience from start to finish. Its balanced blend of taste notes makes it an attractive choice for newcomers and seasoned smokers, especially those seeking quality without breaking the bank. Additionally, the Punch Bareknuckle Pita is recommended for those who prefer medium to full strength but desire a balanced flavor profile in their smoke.
