AVO XO Intermezzo Cigar Review

Reveiw of Avo Xo cigar

There’s something about AVO cigars that just screams elegance and sophistication. Perhaps it’s the sleek packaging or the number of flavors to choose from. Whatever the reason, AVO cigars have become a popular choice for those looking for a high-quality smoking experience.

For those seeking a rich and delightful smoking experience, the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar is a terrific choice. It has a smooth, rich flavor that is perfect for enjoying after a meal. Even the pickiest cigar aficionado will enjoy this one since it is jam-packed with flavors. The AVO XO Intermezzo is one of the brand’s premium cigars that has a stunning wrapper that is guaranteed to please.

Whenever I want to impress someone with a gift of cigars, AVO is my  go-to choice. I’ll normally give a five-pack. A few months ago, actually, I met with one of my friends who is a business advisor. He always shares his knowledge but doesn’t expect anything in return. To show my appreciation, I treated him to cigars at our local spot and gave him a five pack of these cigars after.

Appearance of AVO XO Intermezzo

AVO XO Intermezzo cigar uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper, and the binder and filler are Dominican. It has a beautiful colored wrapper, almost like milk chocolate.

The cigar is firm and well-packed. I touched no soft spots in it, and it has minimal veins. I felt some textures in this cigar, so I can’t say it is smooth at all, but appearance-wise, this one is beautiful.

For the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar’s band, it features the usual AVO logo in the middle, and it has the colors orange, gold, and black. I don’t find anything special to the band’s design, but for some reason, the colors really complement the cigar’s wrapper, which made it pleasing to look at. But if you’re someone who’s into detail when it comes to the cigar’s bands design, this is too plain and simple for premium smoke.

Smoking Experience

I get nutty, woody, and earthy flavors during the cold draw on the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar. As soon as the cigar is lit, I start to taste woody notes; I can say that this cigar is quite woody with a hint of spice. It began off as medium-bodied, but now it has a lot of creaminess to it.

The wood taste, which is at the forefront of the palate, continues to be the prominent flavor during the first third of smoking the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar. Although the cigar is really smooth, I find the flavor to be a little bit drying. A slight mellowing of the spice allows for the emergence of a sweet note. It also loses some of its creaminess, which, in my opinion, makes the flavor profile a touch on the dry side. This cigar’s structure appears to be working nicely so far. The smoke output is good, the burn is nearly even, and I also observed that the smoke has a wonderful aroma. The smoke production included undertones of flowery fragrance, which made it enjoyable to smoke.

The ash is holding strong after I’ve smoked a second third of the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar, and the burn is still almost even. There is still a lot of smoke produced, and the scent is still that of flowery essence. The wood taste is still the primary flavor in this AVO cigar’s flavor profile, and the spice flavor has returned as its accompanying flavor. The sweetness is still present, but this time, a sweet fruit flavor that is virtually identical to the flavor of dried fruit is beginning to emerge, making the smoke much more intriguing. There are many different flavors going on here, and I like it so far. Although the cigar is still on the dry side, the creaminess is beginning to return, perhaps as a result of the flavor of dried fruit.

When I reached the last third of the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar I was smoking, it started to get incredibly creamy, which I enjoyed because the first two-thirds had been so dry. Up until my final few puffs, the wood taste was the overriding flavor. Both the dried fruit and the spice are still present and at the same strength as they were in the second third. However, it wasn’t too overbearing. The retro-hale began to pick up some pepper. Also evident are the flowery undertones. This cigar’s construction is excellent, and it performs admirably. Up until this final third, I had no problems with it. The draw is not too tight, and it continues to burn consistently. During the beginning of my last third, the ash began to come off, and during the final few puffs, the tiniest pieces of ash also started to fall off.

Overall

Overall, I consider the AVO XO Intermezzo cigar a great cigar. This cigar has a medium strength and body, with a creamy texture. The flavors are well-balanced and include notes of wood, spice, sweetness, floral, and subtle hints of pepper. The construction is excellent, and the burn is even.

I find this one great to pair with any drinks. I love how complex the flavors are, as well as how it performs in terms of construction. This AVO cigar is well-constructed, which is important to me as it gives it a smooth and enjoyable smoking experience. The draw is perfect, and the cigar burns almost evenly. The smoke output is also great and has a floral essence aroma in it which is great.

The only downside is that it is a bit pricey. Overall, though, I think it is definitely worth trying. Whether you’re looking for a cigar to enjoy on a special occasion or just a great smoke, the AVO XO Intermezzo is the best cigar. I will continue to purchase this AVO XO cigar as long as it is available.
