Herrera Esteli Norteno Cigar Review

Review of Herrera Esteli Norteno

This is a Herrera Estelli Norteno. This is an excellent cigar. It has a San Andreas wrapper, Honduran binder and Nicaraguan filler. It’s supposed to be a full-bodied cigar.

Appearance of Herrera Esteli Norteno

The cigar looks well constructed – no issues with seams or the cap. If feels nicely firm in my fingers. The band is beautiful. It is a yellowish white with a green square and Guardabarranco bird in the center of the square.

Smoking Experience

First Impression

I haven’t felt the full-bodied strength yet, but again, I just started getting mostly spice, hay, some cocoa, earthiness. I know that’s kind of a vague way to describe it, but I guess it’s mostly earthiness. I don’t know how to describe that, but I’m getting a lot of smoke output with each draw. At first I felt like it was a little bit loose because I was getting so much, but now it’s like a really good amount of smoke without it actually feeling like it’s loose. So, so far so good.

Holding Herrera Esteli Norteno

Final Impression

All right, so this has been a great cigar. Still earthiness spice, but then also some sweetness, some nuttiness, a little bit of cocoa and a little bit of citrus, too. So definitely, I would say full-bodied cigar. Definitely worth it.

Other Herrera Esteli Cigar Reviews

Herrera Esteli Habano

The smoking experience from the Herrera Esteli Habano is solid. It’s got the right notes to start, mellowed with some creaminess, and ended with a full-body and medium strength profile. Nothing bitter, but the richness of the flavors at the end was distinctly Cuban. If you are looking for a Cubanesque cigar, this cigar is good to have. The earthiness and oakiness, leather, cedar, and pepper flavors are suitable for a morning cigar. Read the full review of Herrera Esteli Habno cigar here.

Rocky Patel Edge Habano

The Rocky Patel Edge Habano Torpedo is a medium-bodied cigar that is excellent and offers a variety of tastes, including smooth creamy tobacco, coffee, nuts, cedar, and pepper. It is a really rich, creamy smoke with a very smooth consistency.

CAO Mx2

Despite the flavor profile consisting of good flavor notes, as well as its smoke output and burn, I feel like wasting my time smoking the CAO Mx2. It took me more than an hour and thirty minutes to smoke this one, which already included the minutes being wasted to relight this cigar multiple times. And despite exerting such effort, nothing happened, and this cigar continued to perform badly. Even if I tried my best efforts, this cigar hasn’t lived up to my expectations.
